Aadhavan Review

Movie:Aadhavan
Director:K.S.Ravikumar
Music:Harris Jayaraj
Cast:Suriya, Nayanthara, Rahul Dev, Murali, Saroja Devi

After Suriya's Mega hit "AYAN" and K.S.Ravikumar's "DASAVATHARAM". These two giants combine with the Udhainidhi Stalin's "RED GIANT MOVIES" u can expect a cracker of a movie.

Aadhavan(suriya) is a paid terrorist who works under a gang in kolkata. The gang plans to kill the judge who is investigating a very specious case of a doc robbing organs of children! Aadhavan misses his target first time and decides to go in guise as the "Mapillai" of vadivelu who is the cook in the judge's place. The series of events which makes suriya save the judge whom he wanted to kill forms the crux of the story. Vadivelu`s comedy is rib tickling and very relevant to the story. Saroja devi not much of a role but manages to catch the screen a lot in the comedy and a song sequence. Harris Background score is Extraordinary. The songs could've been better though. Only 3 out of the 5 manage to cling to the hearts of the audiences esp "Hasili Fisili"

The action scenes of Kanal Kannan and Franz Spilhaus are sensational, especially the hit and run chase picturised in Kolkata in the first half. Also, Ganesh’s camerawork has sheen. The special effects job where Suriya is transformed into a 10-year-old look realistic. It is an out and out Suriya show. The film rides on the magic of the actor, and his zany shenanigans alone makes it worth a watch. Nayanthara looks beautiful and classy, and for a change, her glamour image has not been exploited.

Aadhavan is a fun commercial ride for the diwali. But for real story lovers- The movie is neither too good nor too bad. Just the right "OK" quotient film.
