Aasal Review

After the hoop and hoopla finally SIVAJI Productions- "AASAL" starring Ajith Kumar hits the screens. Much awaited and Expected movie of the year and after a fiasco in "AEGAN" the Ultimate Star oops sorry the tag is removed, Our THALA Ajith comes in fit and fine in this Action-Packed movie. This is the 4th time ajith and saran are teaming up and fans expect a treat. Trust me, though its not hero-centric we get the "THALA DAA!!" instincts in portions.

Rich Visuals and path-breaking stunts are a big positive of "AASAL". Though Baradwaj's songs are just OK, the AASAL son is too good esp the words "THALA POLA VARUMA" gives u sheer power! Ajith could have avoided certain dance steps in song sequences though. The BG of AASAL is a stronghold. Sameera and Bhavana provide the much needed glam quotient. Yuhi sethu's character of "DON SAMSA" which gives some comic relief is worth mentioning. The storyline with SEVEN VILLANS is too exciting too hear and raises ur expectations. Those are far from met by our THALA. Fight for the "WILL" written by their father (AJITH's DUAL) and betrayal of siblings towards ajith and how he takes on his siblings with twists forms the crux of "AASAL".

"POWER OF SILENCE" which is the tagline suits Ajith' Role. No one-liners though. Prabhu's Guest appearance gels well with the screenplay. To sum it up, Ajith, Saran and Bharadwaj have the struck the right chord again- for ‘Asal’ in an unpretentious entertainer. Apart from the storyline, everything seems to be original here.
